The Remote BGC Library

A resource to all the remote resources available to Bard Graduate Center Students

Welcome to the BGC Library,

As we start the fall semester with our new hybrid model, many of our library services will be handled remotely, but we are still here for you!

This library guide serves to answer many of your pressing questions, about using our catalog and databases remotely, circulation and scanning, digital resources and much more! We will be updating it in real-time to reflect changes in our rapidly shifting research landscape.

BGC Librarians will be available to assist you in a variety of ways. You can contact us by email at to ask a question or make a research appointment via Zoom.  We will also hold open Zoom reference hours which will be posted here at the beginning of each week - we encourage you to drop in and say hi.    Once the semester begins, we will schedule library research workshops to cover specific resources and research topics.

Most days, there will also be a librarian on-site to assist with pressing questions and we will share our schedules via email at the beginning of each week.

Whether in-person (masked!), via Zoom, email, or even Facetime, we look forward to supporting your research this academic year.
