Help! I don’t have a NYPL card!

Good news! You can now do this online.

  • Step 1: Sign up for a NYPL library card via the SimplyE app. It only takes a few minutes. You will set up a username and PIN number.
  • Step 2: Log-in to NYPL’s website with your username and pin number.
  • Step 3: Click on “My Profile” - your barcode number will be underneath your name. You will need that barcode and your PIN to check out e-books or access databases.
